Welcome
Elementary Computer Lab

Students in grades K-4 have a scheduled 35 minute technology period once every six days. Supervised extra lab time for whole class or individual student use is available, too. Students and staff can also utilize their classroom computers. At Evans City Elementary School, as through the entire Seneca Valley School District, we try "...to use technology to the full extent of its capabilities..."

During lesson planning, the classroom teacher works with the technology facilitator to integrate technology into, as well as revitalize, the existing curriculum. In fact, we emphasize that technology is a tool to help us locate and use information. Ms. Markowski teaches Kindergarten, first, third and fourth grade classes, while Miss Micco teaches second, fifth and sixth grade classes.

Technology in Evans City Elementary School means more than just computers. We also have laserdiscs, CD-ROM's, digital cameras, digital video cameras, a scanner, mobile labs, a SmartBoard, and access to the internet. Much of our technology can be used in both the lab and classroom.

To assist faculty and staff in using technology, we have many staff development opportunities, including courses offered for Act 48 credit and various "after-school" specials.
