Principal's Message

Evans City Middle School encompasses students in grades 5 and 6 with a current enrollment of over 500 students in those two grades. E.C.M.S. has a comprehensive educational program including daily instruction in math, language arts, reading, spelling, social studies, and science. Additional special courses are offered to all students that include art, music, band, chorus, computer, library, guidance, health, and physical education. E.C.M.S. also participates in the D.A.R.E. Program, and we are proud of our cooperative work with the local police through this valuable program. E.C.M.S. also has an extensive special education curriculum that offers gifted education, special education, speech and language support, hearing impaired education, and visually impaired education.

Evans City Middle School has an extensive nature trail on site for student use in all academic areas. The "Little Creek Nature Trail" is a project that has been developing over the past several years. It was built and continues to be maintained by students, faculty, staff, parents, local community volunteers, and local businesses. The Parent Teacher Organization is also a strong supporter of the nature trail and contributes to its continued growth each year through financial support as well as physical labor. E.C.M.S. is proud to have an active and very supportive P.T.O. program and we encourage any new member of our community to consider being an active member of our P.T.O.

As part of the larger Seneca Valley School District, E.C.M.S. can offer a wide range of services and programs that are not always available to schools in smaller districts. However, due to the organization of the district, E.C.M.S. is able to offer a small school atmosphere to its students.

If you are new to this area and have any further questions about Evans City Middle School, please don't hesitate to call or stop in and see us.
