The Counseling Program in the Middle School is concerned with all phases of a student's development. Each counselor will be available to help students develop their careers and educational plans.

Counselors also assist students in resolving personal and emotional issues that arise during the school day. In addition, Seneca Valley Middle School counselors present workshops on topical issues within the classroom setting.

SVMS counselors are an integral part of the teaming process. Counselors act as liasons between parents, teachers, and students. On a regulare basis counselors attend team meetings to help resolve individual student academic concerns. Team teachers may request counselor involvement in classroom projects or issues.

Any parent who has a question or concern about his/her child's progress in school is encouraged to contact the teacher. If further discussion or a team meeting is necessary, parents are welcome to contact the guidance counselor.
