Welcome to the Haine Elementary website! The goals of this site are to provide an overview of our educational programs, special events at Haine, as well as other necessary parent information. Haine Elementary is one of four elementary buildings in the Seneca Valley School District. Our school hosts approximately 800 students in K-4. We share our building with 5th and 6th grade students at Haine Middle School in the heart of Cranberry Township. Each grade level is supported by an extraordinary staff that is caring and student-centered. They strive to provide hands-on learning activities and active student engagement in the classroom. Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to participate in choral concerts, band, art shows, and field day. These are a few of the many activities students can explore within the arts and physical education programs. As we enter the 21st Century, it is our goal to prepare students for our global economy. Students are exposed to a rigorous technology curriculum as early as kindergarten. Compass Learning is an on-line program that our elementary students can use district-wide to enhance their math and reading skills at an appropriate instructional level. This is an enrichment program that students can use inside or outside of the classroom. Please contact your classroom teacher to learn more about log-on information to connect from home. Our overall focus is to challenge students to do their best in all academic areas. One of the primary goals at Haine Elementary is to inspire a love for reading at an early age. From the moment a student can read, we strive to provide an interest, passion and life-long love of reading. Throughout the year Haine will host multiple family literacy nights, parent education classes, as well as other opportunities to connect with your child leading them down the “Road to Reading”. Be on the look-out for communication regarding these exciting events. At Haine Elementary we encourage a strong working partnership with our parents. Working together provides an avenue for success for our students. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
