This course is a second-year chemistry course focusing on topics that apply to the biological and health sciences. Topics include kinetics, equilibrium, nuclear chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. There is an emphasis on understanding reaction mechanisms - what exactly is occurring at the molecular level when a particular reaction takes place. Students with an interest in health fields and biological sciences will find this course to be good preparation for college.
